The latest offering to the Knowlemore portfolio, in collaboration with Valentine Estate, saw the refurbishment of three floors within the Estate, ground and lower ground at 1 Valentine Place, the second floor at 2 Valentine Place.
The vision and brief were clear, the time frames ambitious - create a shared “Clubrooms” space in the lower ground as a destination for all the tenants within the Estate to collaborate, meet in formal and informal settings and socialise.
In addition, refurbish the tenant work spaces to a high level, generating demand. The challenge for IOR was to create an impactful and memorable space, reusing the existing and repurpose where appropriate. The teapoint which had recently been installed was retained, double glazed partitioning was reused from the second floor and the vinyl from the previous lower ground space reused within the tenant ready offering at VP2!
The introduction of arches and a bold colour palette provides the foundation of the look and feel – whether it be a green wall, crittal glass windows or an acoustic backdrop to quiet alcoves. New lighting creates drama and ambience which was key to create the right mood for a Clubrooms lounge space, adorned with wallcoverings, wall lights, new flooring and planting. Furniture is curated to provide a choice of settings and enable a true hospitality feel. The teapoint offers a variety of self-serve refreshments and meeting rooms complete with the latest AV and technology. IOR really enjoyed developing a strong FFE proposal, and given the feedback, this should prove to be a very successful offering from Knowlemore.
